  17. <p>    When Catherine Crier joined CNN three years ago,
  18. collective blood pressure at the Atlanta headquarters went up.
  19. Staff members had a tough time figuring out how a Dallas judge
  20. with no journalistic experience could land a job as an evening
  21. news anchor. But Crier, undeniably telegenic, has proved capable
  22. enough to lure the networks. Last week ABC announced that she'll
  23. be joining 20/20 as a correspondent next year. Word is, her new
  24. colleagues are thrilled.
